Jonathan Sachs was admitted as a Solicitor in 1990.

He specialises in Commercial and Property Litigation, with particular emphasis on claims for professional negligence for financial institutions.

He has acted for Governments, banks, private companies and private individuals in litigation in England, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

He is named by “Chambers” as a leading solicitor in all areas of his work and is particularly praised for his commercial, no-nonsense approach.

He was Head of Litigation at Pettman Smith in Knightsbridge from 1996 to 2003, and recently has been a Senior Partner at leading South East firm asb law.

He was on the winning side in the Court of Appeal case of Abbey National Mortgages Plc v Key Surveys Nationwide Limited [1996] 3 ALL ER 184 in which Abbey National, as a forerunner to the Woolf reforms, secured the appointment of a Court appointed expert for the first time in almost forty years.

He was also recently successful in the Court of Appeal cases on Partnership Law of Nakhjavani v Pelagias [2006] CALTL and the case of Krikorian v Unigreg Limited (1) and Richard Neville (2) [2006] EWCA on directors’ misfeasance.

He lives in a village in Sussex with his wife and four children
