
Edward
Judge was admitted in 1987. He gained experience of all aspects of
commercial litigation at his family firm and joined SGH in 1998 as a
partner, therefore enhancing the existing expertise in insolvency and
commercial litigation.
He is
a partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency Group as well as being in
charge of the Debt Collection Department. He has a substantial portfolio
of insolvency work.
As a
member of the Restructuring & Insolvency Group, Edward deals with the
whole range of insolvency matters, acting for Insolvency Practitioners
as well as for companies in difficulty. He has, over the years, acquired
a sharp understanding of commercial issues. He has recently handled
leading cases in relation to the payment of illegal dividends,
preferences and various aspects of the new Administration procedure
Edward
advises both IPs and directors and Bankrupts. He deals with asset
recovery, administrations liquidations, receiverships, bankruptcies and
voluntary arrangements.
Edward
is always eminently practical and solution oriented. He has a
reputation for attacking problems from unusual angles to get the best
results for the client. This is reflected in the articles he regularly
contributes to the legal press.
Edward
is an associate member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association, an
associate member of R3 and committee member of the London Branch of the
Institute of Credit Management.
