Leisure & Property Management
The Property Litigation/Leisure Industry group consists of three partners, two assistant solicitors, a Legal Executive and support staff. Between us, we have many years of experience and an unbeaten track record in the leisure industry. We believe that the future of the legal profession lies in our kind of niche practice as we can offer specialist experience and a thorough understanding of business, combined with a down to earth approach, at competitive rates.
What we do
We provide a specialised service on all property related matters. Our aim, where possible, will always be to avoid litigation, and to apply our experience and problem solving skills to finding innovative and pragmatic solutions for our clients. However, should the need arise, we involve our highly respected and experienced litigators. The Group works closely with the Insolvency, Commercial Property and Company Commercial specialists within the firm to ensure all round expertise and continuity of service.
Property Management/Health and Safety
We offer commercial advice, assistance, and training on a variety of property related matters including property management, health and safety, rent review, drafting of leases, European Competition law issues, beer ties, franchises and general litigation avoidance. We work alongside our clients, providing regular newsflashes and training/seminars to suit their requirements. We can offer advanced litigation tracking and property management packages.
Property Litigation
The team advises on and assists with all property litigation, including:
- Traditional Landlord and Tenant cases,
- Forfeitures,
- Rent review arbitrations,
- Rights of light/rights of way,
- Enforcement and construction of lease covenants,
- Nuisance claims.

Property Related Commercial Litigation
We are also experienced in handling property related commercial litigation especially for the leisure industry, including:
- Professional negligence
- Breach of contract cases,
- Misrepresentation claims,
- Multiple debt recovery and
- Claims arising out of European Competition law.
Over the last 15 years we have successfully handled all of the above types of litigation in every forum from arbitrations and the County Court, to the Court of Appeal, House of Lords and European Court. We are considered to have more court experience between us than any other property litigation group in the country.
