 Bankruptcy & The Matrimonial Home Feb 2004 The last two years have seen a significant period of change insofar as concerns insolvency law within the jurisdiction, and indeed throughout the European Union through mutual recognition of insolvency proceedings within Member States (with the exception of Denmark). Whilst no wholly new insolvency procedures have been created per se, within the jurisdiction, the Government has taken the opportunity of passing Acts of Parliament that makes substantial amendments to current insolvency procedures. The personal insolvency provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002, the vast majority of which are due to come into force on 1 April 2004 , are the latest provisions affecting insolvency law that have recently been introduced by the Government.
