 Unfair Dismissal awards - cap increase October 2004 The statutory cap on unfair dismissal claims is now £55,000 for the compensatory award and the basic award is calculated on the basis of a week's pay for each complete year of service, with a week's pay now capped at £270 (as at October 2004).
