John is not a solicitor. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1972. He was a senior manager of the secretarial department at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) and between 1985 and 1992 was a director of a private bank. John is a professional company secretary to numerous private and public, quoted and unquoted companies.
