Client objectives are paramount for the firm's company commercial department. We always strive to implement a client's commercial strategy and, if clients wish, we are keen to be part of the team that moulds that strategy.
A motivated team
Partners David Sprecher, Emma Shipp and Alok Gangola have experience in industry which ensures that the department works effectively in the commercial world.
In-depth knowledge and experience
The department has in-depth experience of all areas of company commercial and corporate finance. This includes IPOs, AIM listings, private equity, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, de-mergers, structuring and completing share issues, buy-outs, buy-ins and other fundraising transactions. We also have expertise in relation to asset sales and purchases, banking and security documentation, employment contracts, distribution and agency agreements, partnership, limited liability partnership and joint venture agreements, terms of business for most business sectors and all forms of company/corporate documentation.
An on-going commitment
Clients who consult the firm range from publicly quoted companies to professional partnerships and family-owned private companies of all sizes.
SGH's clients often express their appreciation of the partner commitment to their transactions at all stages. A deal can become bogged down by an issue which is of little more than academic interest. Timely advice from a commercially minded legal adviser may give a client the confidence to assess realistically the risks and benefits of any particular course of action and thus free the log jam.
Our company commercial department's function is to achieve its clients' commercial objectives and to meet deadlines. To this end, it employs a blend of legal knowledge and extensive and wide-ranging commercial experience.
